Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Listing data you submit: the URL or X @handle, your bid amount, and an optional short description.
- Checkout data: your email address and payment details are collected by Paddle, our merchant of record, at checkout. We receive the email address and order reference, never your card numbers.
- Anonymous usage data: aggregate visitor counts, an approximate "online now" count, and per-listing click counts.
- Technical storage: a session cookie for the anonymous visitor statistics above, and a localStorage entry remembering your light/dark theme preference.
What we do not collect
There are no accounts, no passwords, and no profiles. We do not run a newsletter and we do not send marketing email. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site cookies.
Cookies and local storage
- A session cookie (obl_sid) assigns an anonymous ID so we can count unique visitors and estimate how many are online right now. It expires after 30 minutes.
- Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never sent to us.
Third-party processors
- Paddle (paddle.com) processes payments as merchant of record and handles billing data under its own privacy policy.
- Google's favicon service (google.com/s2/favicons) is used to display icons for listings that do not provide a logo; your browser fetches those icons directly from Google.
Data retention
Listing data is kept while the listing is on the board and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and dispute purposes. Anonymous statistics are aggregate counts and cannot be tied back to you.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (essentially your listing and checkout email) at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days, in line with GDPR-style access and erasure rights. Where Paddle holds billing data, we will point you to the right channel.
